All you need to do is hook the Ethernet cable between the blue jack on the back of the videophone and a free port on your wireless router. It will take approximately 90 seconds for the phone to provision itself and you are ready to make voice and video calls.

This minimum level of performance is available 99% of the time in the US and in most countries around the world. Based on your application, Video Talk can also be utilized over a WiFi or 4G air card.

Yes, you can port your telephone number from your current home phone service while utilizing G3 Connect/Video Talk. This process takes 2-3 weeks to transfer. In the interim, G3 Connect provides you with a temporary number. We notify you when your home phone number is ready to be converted to your videophone.

Yes, the G3 Connect videophone has a FXS port that connects to your cordless base station (standard telephone wire). This will enable the videophone and all cordless phones in your house to ring.

Yes, we recommend the Net Gear WNCE 2001 Universal WiFi Adaptor. This easy-to-use device recognizes the available wireless networks in your house or office. You select the network, and the adaptor plugs into the phone. (Adaptor acts like your wireless router connection). In some cases, you may need to reboot your wireless router for the adaptor to fully connect. Certain corporate wireless routers may require the user to set up a specific open wireless network for their videophone traffic.

One of the greatest benefits of Video Talk is its ease of use and simple installation process. Installing the videophone is a 3-step process.

1. Take phone out of box
2. Plug one end of the blue Ethernet cable into the blue jack on the back of the phone and the other end of the jack goes into a spare port on your wireless router.
3. Plug power supply into phone. Blue light on left side of phone will begin flashing.

The phone will take 90 seconds to register itself to the network. The flashing blue light will go solid when the phone is ready to make calls. If the phone does not register, (blue light flashing) the wireless router and/or the cable modem may need to be powered off and on for service to be established. Yes. The videophone can be projected on a flat panel TV through the use of standard RCA video cables (yellow, red, and white). These are the same cables that you utilize in many cases when connecting a video game or DVD to your TV. We recommend TVs with screen sizes of 50" or smaller based on the resolution quality of the phone. It will work on larger screens but the image quality may not be as good.

Along with great video quality, Video Talk offers full telephone capabilities including call waiting, call forwarding, caller ID, voice/video mail, 3-way voice/video conferencing, and hold functionality as standard features.
